Minus a few boxes sitting in my car that need to come into Ginny’s house, I am officially done with move part 1. We had an awesome crew this morning. My roommate and I, Maria, my roommate’s cousin and boyfriend, as well as Tom and Heath. I got the truck to my house at 7:35 this morning. By 9:45 this morning, the truck was completely empty. Considering I had rented the truck until 4 pm, when I showed up at 10:30 this morning to return it, they were a bit shocked.
Since we got done so early, I went over to the yearly yoga picnic…our yoga instructor rents a volleyball net, and tells everyone to show up with food. I made a quick stop over at the co-op to pickup some hummus and chips, and then made it over to College Green Park. Had a quick snack, just as the volleyball game was starting up. We get through a game or two of fun volleyball before it turns competitive. I take it easy during the fun rounds–most people there don’t know that v-ball is one of my favorite sports, but as soon as the competition was on, we were all ramping it up. 2 games later, I hit a particularly hard bump, too close to my wrist joint. I knew it as soon as it happened, but figured I’d play through the pain. I made it through another game and a half, and half-jokingly said to my chiro as he walked up that I had just screwed up my hand…
After we made it through three competitive games, all of us sat down to have some cookies. 20 minutes go by, and my hand is still tingly. Everyone decides to play a boy vs. girl game, when I decide I’m going to sit out/go home. My chiro’s wife asks if I’m going to play, and I tell her no, and why, and she grabs him right away. He sits me down, resets a bone in my wrist that dislocated, and tells me to ice it, 20 minutes on when it hurts, and that he’ll see me tomorrow.
Now? It hurts like a bitch. Bleh.
