There are so many ways to describe myself, yet, I sit here typing and I struggle with what to put here.
First off, I’m Nicole. 24 years old. I grew up in the Chicago area, came to school in Iowa, fled as soon as I graduated, and realized that I couldn’t make it in this world without my friends. Moved back shortly thereafter, and life started to fall into place. Within a month of moving back, I had adopted an australian shepherd puppy, found a job as a research assistant, and started to figure out how to make it in the real world. Since then, I’ve moved closer to my job, solidified friendships, established myself as the fun and friendly girl, and raised a monster pup into a caring dog. I’m an adventurer. There are few places in this world that I am happier than backpacking in the mountains, having not showered for days. I’m sarcastic as hell, and love when I find people that can keep up. I’m a scientist, both by profession and curiosity. I love to cook a great meal, whether it’s for myself or for ten people.
This is my life, one year after I finished my last class as an undergrad. My plans are starting to fall into place, and unfold as I want them to–now it’s just a matter of keeping on pace, and finding the patience to realize that it’s going to take some time before I can take over the world–or at least my little piece of it.
